@peachdoll

@hungryclone: So first question: what's your name?

@peachdoll: Interesting question~ My birth name is Melissa. But everyone calls me Munin or Moo in these here parts. Moo being short for Munin. And because I like cows.

@hungryclone: Lol. Interesting nickname. So where are you from?

@peachdoll: Haha thank you. I'm born and raised in Miami Florida, in the USA. Lived in central America for a bit but that wasn't for us. Spoiled by freedom, eh?

@hungryclone: I have a couple friends that've done that.

@peachdoll: After living in the US and trying to live in Central America, it's a really hard adjustment. Things you never thought you'd miss, you miss like crazy. I don't think many would stay there.

@hungryclone: Yeah it's a "hard knocked life", So what do you do for a living?

@peachdoll: I'm currently a bum, to put it simply. I volunteer as support for a web hosting company right now, along with working on my own start at a web hosting business. I'm planning on going back to school later in the fall. *crosses fingers*

@hungryclone: Well hopefully that'll go through. Good luck with that. How'd you get into web hosting?

@peachdoll: How I got into web hosting was pretty straight forward I think. It started about.. Almost four years ago. I'm a hobbyist web designer. I decided I had too much extra space and bandwidth I wasn't going to use, and offered it freely to other people. Few years later I decided "I like this!" and have been working on opening a small company.

@hungryclone: Cool. Seems like a good idea combing a hobby into a job. So what else do you like to do?

@peachdoll: I'm a geek. Female geeks, rawr! I play videogames off and on, tinker with computer software. Currently doing some hush-hush stuff to my Wii, for example. I like spending time with my geeky buddies, too. Definitely not your run of the mill shoppoholic chicka. Shopping is fun, when you have the money.

@hungryclone: Sounds like what I do, Except I'm much less tech and much more geek lol. So you have a a wii, any other systems?

@peachdoll: I also have a gorgeous red DS lite that I love. I play that like crazy. I "co-own" a PS3 but I'm surprisingly not too fond of it. I tend to use the PS3 as a media server and watch movies on it. We have a bunch of relics in the closet I'd like to dust off, like a Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis (x3!) Sega Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64.... Did I mention I grew up with two gamer brothers?

@hungryclone: Haha. Nice. I'm really sad I never got into the DS. I kept putting it off assuming Nintendo would come out w/ something better. Lo and behold they keep making awesome games for it.

@peachdoll: That's a little harsh~ I love my DS Lite. There's the DSi if you want to look into it. I haven't used it myself, but it's supposed to have some neat features. You should jump into it again.

@hungryclone: No money. I waste it all on warhammer 40k. Of course when I buy one the new thing comes out right?

@peachdoll: Haha, I totally get what you mean. So many great DS games. I'm not buying a new DS until this bad boy crashes and burns on me.

@hungryclone: So what's your favorite game of all time then?

@peachdoll: My favorite game of all time? That's such a hard choice!

@hungryclone: It is.

@peachdoll: Could I have ties? It's really between The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and LUNAR: Silver Star Story.

@hungryclone: Yeah they're different systems so sure. Mine is probably Mega Man 2 or Rock and Roll Racing for SNES

@peachdoll: Wow, you're an old schooler. That's very cool. I definitely feel you about the money thing. (shakes head) Too little money, so many games. I try not to go crazy.

@hungryclone: Lol yeah it's hard being a geek. So what's going on in your life right now?

@peachdoll: You mean personally? Right now I'm preparing for my grandmother's arrival from Cuba next week. I miss her. I'm in this strange in-between state of a relationship. I like someone, they know I like them, but we're continuing to be friends. Strange, that. Being stressed on a side project that was supposed to be fun.

@hungryclone: Flurry of questions: Are you of Cuban descent? Do neither of you want to say anything? (Lame advice but I'd say do something about it. Life's too short lady!) Side project is a web content/hosting thing?

@peachdoll: Yay, questions! Yep, I'm of Cuban descent. Both parents immigrated from Cuba years ago. I don't know much about my father because he's not around now. My mother arrived during what's called Mariel. When she was fifteen, there was a huge movement in Cuba where people who dared to leave illegally took off in small boats for America.
We both feel the same about each other, we discussed it in length. But she just came off of a bad relationship and I respect that she needs space.
The side project isn't anything hosting related. It's a community project for any Naruto Twitter dork out there. People are just way too dramatic. Really stressful.

@hungryclone: Life can be complicated huh?

@peachdoll: Definitely! But I think patience comes a long way, you know? And understanding. You can't be a close-minded jerk who wants everything their way. I think that's a key life lesson thing right there. Because you know, I should be giving people life lessons.

@hungryclone: It's good advice in anycase. So jumping in another direction what going on in the world right now is drawing your attention in a positive or negative way?

@peachdoll: The Iran election really upset me, for starters. I don't believe that election was one fair and square at all. Growing up in a Cuban household, my family is very political. It all just makes me feel uneasy, like we're dealing with another Castro. That's another thing, Fidel Castro. People saying he's dead, I don't know. If he's dead, his brother isn't doing any better for Cuba.

@hungryclone: Yeah that's a big one though Cuba in a sense is reminding me of N. Korea.

@peachdoll: I completely agree. The depressing part is you'll always find people who are happy with the situation in their countries, as bad as they are. Michael Jackson's death really shook me. I didn't believe it at first. But then I saw the news and cried. I loved his music.

@hungryclone: MJ to was obviously big news. He was so international so that's to be expected.

@peachdoll: Yeah. MJ will definitely be missed. I hate that so many people who hated and bashed him before, are now saying how great he is. That's a bit of a slap in the face.

@hungryclone: So I think I've run out of questions.

@peachdoll: Aw, you've run out of questions? I'm sorry. I wish I could've been more entertaining!

@hungryclone: Yeah I'm an ill prepared interviewer like that.

@peachdoll: Aw don't say that. It was fun. I hope I wasn't a bore to interview.

@hungryclone: Not at all. Super interesting and I walked away getting to know you better so my job here is done. Anything for your fellow tweeters who might read this?

@peachdoll: Hmmm. A message, you say? Don't stress about the little things. In the end, we're all gonna get old and wear diapers anyway. And keep on Tweeting!
